Unschooling In the Eyes of My Children

Ryan’s friend Daniel is over today and as all three boys were sitting and eating lunch together this was the conversation: Ryan: Daniel, did you know we homeschool? Well, really unschool. Unschooling is the best because you don’t have any homework. Iain: Yeah, we learn while we play and we get to play whenever we […]

Cute. We’re on break. Today my daughter was reading one of the many books she got from the library on “Your Cat and Their Emotions”. My son got up at noon and didn’t know what day of the week it was. I just shook my head.

Hi mate,

been a while but I’m catching up with the blogging world again.

Love the conversation with your boys, feel for you with the family stuff and think that your portrait pics are getting better and better each post!

Great to hear that you are up & getting around better too.

Take care,
Cate

awwww

I wish I was into blogging back when my kiddo was younger. Im sure blogs were around it was only a few years ago…every day she seemed to do or say something that would blow me away and i would think “i need to write that down” but of course i never did. Or I did a few times but never in the same place so it became scattered pieces of paper that who knows where theyre placed now!

Week of Friends

It’s only Tuesday but already this week has been full of playtimes with friends. Iain met a boy about a month ago who lives up the street and they have become friends. He’s a really nice kid and gets along well with Ryan too which is nice. Sadly, we just found out that his dad […]

Oh no. I can’t believe LJ is moving. That sucks for Iain. I know he’s going to be devestated.

The girls are absolutely gorgeous. I can’t believe how much they’ve grown.

The Birthday Boy

This is what yesterday was about for me. This boy right here was celebrating his birthday and that is what I and my whole family was focused on yesterday. I was incredibly proud to be a part of my family yesterday because we pulled together like never before and as a result, Ryan told me […]

Ryan really is such a sweet boy. I’m glad we were able to make it a special day for him despite everything else that was going on.

Deeg - March 25, 2008 - 12:37 am

awww I am so glad he had such a great birthday. That first pic-all I see is joy and happiness and contentment. He really seems to be glowing with joy-so sweet. You are such a good momma…and not just because of all the things you do but because you worry about things that aren’t “perfect”-and I love that you aren’t afraid to put it all out here…reality is refreshing, especially on the net where it is so easy for people to hide and make things up.
