Our House Yesterday

I went upstairs to check on the boys in the morning and this is what I found: Are those my boys or a pack of puppies all curled up together? Iain says he wants his own room but after seeing this: I’m just not sure he really does. Uh-oh….who let the dogs out?! Hmmmmmm. I […]

Be still my heart… I have pictures of my boys together from several years ago (not this beautifully taken, unfortunately). So precious. Helps with the less loving brotherly moments, doesn’t it?

piscesgrrl - March 15, 2008 - 4:34 pm

I have some precious photos of my boys all tangled up and asleep too, from years past… one even made the annual family calendar. I miss those days! And even though i sleep better now, i miss the family bed too.

Great shots!

Stacie - March 16, 2008 - 1:37 am

Those pictures are priceless!

whimsigal - March 16, 2008 - 2:07 am

Madeline, that is a wonderful point! I will need to look at these and meditate whenever I’m feeling frustrated by sibling squabbles.

PiscesGrrrrl! I miss the family bed as well. Iain slept with us until he was three and Ryan would never sleep with us at all. Now they’re so big that it’s hard to do that. I wish all the time that we had a king size bed.

Thanks so much! I thought the boys looked too sweet to not take a picture of them.

MamaK - March 17, 2008 - 12:46 pm

The toes, Look at the pudgy nibblet toes! Can you tell I love pudgy kid toes?

If you want to help me to feed my kids, take this survery

LOL Okay, that’s a tad bit dramatic but it would be wonderful if you would be so kind as to support me and the outfit that provides the ads on my site by taking this survey. They’re trying to get as much info as they can to help better understand what kinds of ads to […]

I completed the survey! :-)

whimsigal - March 14, 2008 - 2:17 pm

No way, dude! If you win it, you earned it! Besides, I would love to just accompany you to one of those conferences. They look like fun!

whimsigal - March 14, 2008 - 2:21 pm

What up, Stacie!

Thanks for doing that. Hope you’ve been well!

Madeline - March 14, 2008 - 3:27 pm

Our Love Story, the end of how we got together

*****************This is Part 4************************** It was a steamy night in our Southern town that August of 1996. Sean and I had just spent hours talking out on my front porch but it only seemed like minutes had passed. When he invited me up to his apartment, I was torn about whether or not to go. […]

ya know…i don’t believe ive ever commented on your blog before, but ive been reading for some time. I love that you don’t try to dress up reality too much and make things seem like some dream fairy tale….this was a true, honest story of love in my eyes and i enjoyed reading it very much…even if your hubs face is still red from sharing his heart lol

whimsigal - March 13, 2008 - 3:15 pm

Thank you so much for that comment! What an incredibly nice thing to say! You really made my day. Please don’t be a stranger, I’d love to hear more from you!

I’m so glad you enjoyed our story and am especially glad that you could feel that it was an honest recollection of the events. My husband was so funny! I didn’t tell him that I was doing this and when he was reading the blog a few days ago, he started laughing and said, “Dude, what are you doing?!” He didn’t ask me to stop though so I think he must have liked it, too. :)

Thanks again for your comment!

FLO - March 13, 2008 - 6:12 pm

Sigh. And they lived happily ever after. What a beautiful story. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to share mine, though!

whimsigal - March 13, 2008 - 9:12 pm

Aww! Come on flo! you can do it!

I’m so glad you enjoyed mine!

Madeline - March 13, 2008 - 10:19 pm

sigh. : ) I love a good love story too. that was wonderfully written as well, keeping me on the edge of my seat and my heart thumping. One day I’ll write ours. Now that you’re finished, I’m afraid of it. His whole family reads my blog (often a problem, actually). But one day..

whimsigal - March 13, 2008 - 10:35 pm

Oh Madeline, come on! Sean’s family reads my blog, too! Unless your story’s too racy….lol.

I hope you will share a little something. Just a teeny tiny bit?

Mrs. K's Lemonade Stand - March 14, 2008 - 12:35 am

You know, any love story that begins with a steamy southern night, is gonna turn out great! 

whimsigal - March 14, 2008 - 1:00 am

Mrs. K, I hope you go back and read the other parts, too!

piscesgrrl - March 15, 2008 - 5:16 pm

*SIGH*… what a lovely story. :-)
