Blast from the past

So last night, I was combing You Tube for a video of Adam Lambert singing, “Mad World” on American Idol. I didn’t watch AI this season and am actually said now because I missed out on his stunningly beautiful performance of one of my favorite songs. What I didn’t know is, “Mad World” was originally […]

I love the third one, too!
A happy song.

What Have We Been Doing?

Not a whole heck-of-a-lot. LOL Well, that’s not really true but it has been so long since I wrote here that I’m not sure where to begin! The boys have been growing by leaps and bounds physically and mentally. They are ready for the summer and all the fun things that go along with that […]

Hey you!
I am a stones throw from NYC and would love to host you for a night! Or even a long playdate/Dinner, and you can pee in my bathroom and see your lovely photo in there….
Anyway, you are a busy little bird, and I do miss your candid posts so very much. But I understand all about times and seasons.
Sounds like the boys are doing so well. The hanging out with others will happen once you iron it all out!

It’ll all come together and into a nice routine for you. Jamey & Conor keep wishing we lived closer so they could see Iain and Ryan every day! Ooh NYC would be awesome, loved your other ideas too. =)

Ticks. I hate ticks. I was just about to post about what we stumbled upon as a solution.

3 cups of vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar) and a couple drops of rose geranium oil. Load into a spray bottle and spray scalp after shampooing. the pickle smell goes away once your hair is dry (bonus is it is also a de-tangler and anti static. If heading out into the woods I also mist my pant legs and give my hair another squirt.

Better pickle smell than tick feasting, I say. ;)

Also, what about the Iowa State Fair for corn dogs? :)

Thank goodness I’ve seen you in person to know what’s going on rather than relying on your blog! I posted today for the first time since January 30th.

Hey you! There you are! It’s good to see you posting again.

When are you going to DW? We are going in a week to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.

I hope you and your guys are well!

I just found your blog and love it! The kids will love New York. We just recently spent 7 weeks in NY. If you haven’t already been there check out my site for some ideas :) Also has a ton of ideas for “free” and/or cheap things to do.

Ryan’s Birthday – A Year Without Drama

For those who were reading my blog last year, you may remember this time period was fraught with family angst and drama of unreal proportions. I was partially responsible, of course, and Ryan’s birthday was less than pleasant. A year later and all the drama has subsided and it was really lovely to be able […]
