Adventures at Krispy Kreme aka Ode to the Pioneer Woman

This post is in honor of Ree, the Pioneer Woman, whose humorous posts about her life on their ranch keep me entertained on a daily basis. Her kids love Krispy Kreme but can no longer get it. Since I live the ranch life vicariously through her, I figured they might enjoy a little vicarious living […]

Geez, my own comment didn’t post…that’s weird.

Anyway, thanks for all y’alls comments!

Laura, I owed you after the cinnamon roll post on your blog! LOL

My camera is a Canon Rebel XTi and I love it. I’m still learning how to use it but I have found a new hobby in photography. It’s a lot of fun!

Oh ya, that. If you lived nearby, you might’ve gotten a pan, seeing as there were SEVEN.

And we’ve got farmland too…

;-)

Fun with pictures

I swear. This camera is going to make me crazy! I see so many photos that I love and want to be able to achieve the same looks but for some reason, success eludes me. I’m not unhappy with my photos necessarily, but I just can’t figure out how to make them look more colorful, […]

Oh Evie, those photos are beautiful! I couldn’t imagine a better photo of those gorgeous boys.

whimsigal - November 14, 2007 - 2:54 pm

Thanks, Carri! I had to tweak them a little to get the color the way I wanted it in Photoshop and I think that’s my frustration. I see folks, like the Pioneer Woman, who take really beautiful vivid photos, and I don’t know what their pics look like before they tweak them. Now matter what I’ve done I can’t get them as colorful as hers!!

That said, I love these pics of my boys, too. They really hate posing for me. :) I have to take what I can get!

We went to the zoo today

Today, I wanted to do something different. I called my sister at 9am and expressed the desire to get out of the house and go off on an adventure and she was game. So at 11, we were all off to the zoo. No small feat considering that my niece absolutely hates to ride in […]

Hey! We totally got “Rise of the Silver Surfer” from Netflix yesterday!! How weird.

I much prefer “Meet the Robinsons.” We all do. Ian will probably be getting that one for Christmas so we don’t have it yet.

I loved the foliage picture. Just gorgeous!

I liked the FF movie but Meet the Robinsons was the best, hands down. We watched it again this morning and, I cried again, like a baby.

I can’t believe how moving the story is! It has totally inspired my kids.

Thanks for the compliment on my leaf picture. I really like that one, too. :)
