Oh my gosh, y’all.  I am so excited to share my after pics with you.  To see the before pictures of my craft room/office click HERE.  Otherwise, here is my room after doing a bunch of organizing and decorating! I tried pretty hard to use what I had to decorate and furnish the room and […]

Oh, Evie, I can’t believe how beautiful this room looks! And cozy. You did such an incredible job – I don’t think I’d ever want to leave that room.

Evie - February 5, 2015 - 5:18 pm

Thank you, Susan!! I have been enjoying it ever since!!

I really, really love that chair.
And I’m thinking it’s high time I carved out a corner of our house to claim as my own. Thanks for the inspiration!

Evie - February 9, 2015 - 5:14 pm

Cassadie, you should TOTALLY do that. It’s so peaceful to have some space just for you!! And thank you for telling me you like the chair, too. :) It’s nice to know I’m not the only one!

What a wonderful space you have! I’m very envy of everyone who actually own an entire room just to make things. i used to have one too, but now that my mom came to live with me my studio became her room…and i ended up sewing and drawing in one little corner in my bedroom, like when I was a teen and still lived with my parents. but it’s ok as long as there is a tiny corner where i can do my things, right?

Evie - February 10, 2015 - 6:05 pm

Thank you! Yes! I think the biggest point is just for each of us to acknowledge that we all deserve SOME space that is ours and ours alone. The world is so crazy some days that we all need somewhere to escape from that and indulge in whatever passions stir us! Thank you for your comment, Bobbi!

Evie, it looks great! What a fun crafting space.

Mets Win! Mets Win!

Iain had his first baseball game on Saturday and it went incredibly well! Last year, Iain played soccer in our local recreational league but there was nothing recreational about it. it was very intense and competitive and Iain wasn’t at the same skill level as many of his teammates. This year, he wanted to try […]

the pictures look great! You know, the book that the colleges use here when they teach photoshop is just the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Classroom in a book by Adobe Creative Team. You can find it on Amazon for about $35 and will teach ya all you ever wanted to know about Photoshop lol. I took the course but I still dont have photoshop on my own computer at home haha.

Anyway, my daughter just started Volleyball and she is loving every second. She seems to have found something she not only loves but is really good at. Its such a good feeling to see your children glowing with pride in something they have accomplished!

Ok….enough rambling hahaha

Dude, when I read the title, I kept hearing Will Ferrell as Harry Carey. It keeps cracking me up.

I love pictures of kids walking. These are really beautiful, Evie.

Beautiful pictures! And yes, I can believe the number of photos because i got my camera almost a year ago and have gone crazy as well. I would love to start processing soon. I don’t have a program yet. I did finally get a DVD that describes in detail how to use the different features of my specific camera. But a class would be smart.

Those kids are so precious. :)

piscesgrrl - April 17, 2008 - 12:05 am

Your pictures are awesome! I love the bottom two.

Just goes to show it depends upon the kid, the sport, and the teammates. We have the opposite situation – soccer kids great, baseball not so much/bad experience. Glad he is enjoying it!

Hi, I found your blog through the Imperfect Homeschooling Ring. I love your blog.

I love your last picture. My favorite pictures of my kids are of the ones when they are walking away.

Do you mind if I add you to my blog roll?

whimsigal - April 17, 2008 - 6:24 pm

Summer Fae, please feel free to add me!

THanks to everyone for your comments!

Sorry I haven’t poked my head in here sooner. It’s been a crazy week.

:)

Birthday Boy Again!

Today is Ryan’s actual birthday and I woke up this morning feeling totally at peace with life and as a result, we had a beautiful day. When the boys woke up, I asked Ryan what he wanted to do. Since it was his birthday, I let him be in charge of our itinerary for the […]

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day! Keeping those nature sketchbooks at the ready is something I have to remember to do with my son.

Why, indeed?
:)

that is a great idea…or maybe one day a month each of you (yes parents included) get to have a special day where its all about them and what they like.

My daughters girl scout troop does this in a way. They meet every other week and there is a new girl chosen each week who is the PIG (pretty important girl) the week leading up to the special girls day the other girls work on projects for her to show that they care (could be as simple as a drawing they did out of inspiration of her…or a necklace or art project)

that day the P.I.G. gets to chose the snack they all eat and things like that.

Birthdays are fun because the day is all about you and the people that love you come together to show you just how much you are loved…I agree-why can’t we do that more often?

I love the pictures btw-especially the goofy faces…and sigh, i miss cold stone-all the ones near me shut down this year. sniff sniff

What a great way to spend the day! Thanks for the reminder that everyday is special.
