We’re going on a picnic and I’m going to bring….

My Camera! :) Today the weather was gray and cool so the boys decided they wanted to go on a picnic down at the park. Guess what we did? Yep, we went on a picnic! I called my sis and invited her to go so she and my niece strolled over and then we were […]

I’ve always had a soft spot for herons. What a magnificent bird–and great photos!

Few things are better than fall picnics! :)

Sounds like a very gentle afternoon.

A lovely way to recuperate.

Hey everybody! Thanks for the comments. That bird has apparently been a fixture in our neighborhood for a while but it had been so long since we’d seen him. He is huge when he’s flying. His size is deceptive when he sits down.

Tiffani, you’re so right. Fall picnics are the best. No bugs, no god-awful humidity. It was really, really nice.

Stephanie,

Today and yesterday have both been wonderful days. So good they feel almost magical.

thanks for your supportive words!

What we’ve been up to

Well, not a ton. It’s gotten hot here again and we’ve been sitting inside enjoying the a/c. I had already gone into winter mode and quit shaving my legs so I’ve been burning up in jeans! LOL Since we cleaned up the boys’ playroom they have been very kind and have kept it tidy. They […]

It’s a good life.
Full of so many wondrous things – it’s pretty great when recognizing the magic becomes commonplace.
Encouraging to the rest of us, too!

I know I’ve asked before –
But if I promise not to over-use it, could you Please tell me how to put in the strike-through?
I’m dying to know!

whimsigal - September 26, 2007 - 2:00 am

Well, I just learned how to do the strike-through on Sunday so you haven’t asked me before. That was one of your other friends. (She said in a voice that sounded like a jealous wife)

lol I don’t mind sharing the secret, especially with someone from whom I stole their blogger layout!

It’s really easy. But I will have to email it to you because it won’t let me use it in the comment section.

Thanks, Darling!
I’ll send you a long note tomorrow – I’m out for tonight!

Pinwheels For Peace 2007

What a joy it was to set out our pinwheels today and see the wind catch them and set them spinning! It was a thrill for me not to mention the boys and I’m incredibly glad we participated in this event.

Yay!
They’re beautiful!!!
Meant to say earlier that the pictures of the process are gorgeous.
I’m gonna link everybody up who participated today – friends, I mean.
DOn’t they just make your heart happy to see them spinning?

whimsigal - September 21, 2007 - 7:53 pm

It was such a beautiful thing! And the expressions of sheer joy on the boys’ faces as we set them out and they started spinning was priceless.

Thanks again for posting about it! I wouldn’t have heard about it otherwise.
